Liverpool FC and Bailey Charities

September has been a crazily busy month for me not only do i need to get more gallery work done but also have a few commissions to complete. this has also had to be balanced with two charity events.

The first of the charity events was a commissioned Painting by Liverpool FC this was suggested nearly 6 months ago and alot of planning and preparation has been needed to make this happen.

I was surprised when i found out that the organiser of the charity event was a guy who works for Liverpool FC called Chris Morgan, a name i knew i wouldn't forget.

And so discussions started as to what to paint, i personally wanted to paint something with more detail and something that would challenge me artistically but Chris wanted the clubs iconic Liverbird painted as he felt this would be simple but very affective for the fans of the team.

I painted the Liverbird in a dark Indian red and built around shades of black, dark reds, yellows and whites to create a glowing affect around the bird also giving enough space for the signatures.

Once painted i needed a frame and i decided to approach the gallery/framers who frame my commissioned works, and kindly they offered to donate the frame for the piece which was a very kind gesture as a frame of this nature and size would cost around £150 so a massive thank you to http://www.theoriginalartshop.net/

I then had to store the painting awaiting the go ahead by Chris when all the team are available and finally after months of discussions Tuesday 18th September was decided as the date for signing

I arrived at the Melwood training ground at 7:30 am met Chris who then set me up in the teams dining room and all the players were informed that i would be there.

The first to sign the painting was the teams manager Brendan Rogers who was a lovely chap and very complimentary about my work. Then as the morning went on all the players came flooding in to chat and sign my piece.

Below are a select few images of the day.

For those of you who don't know a VERY close family friend is suffering from terminal cancer and hasn't been given very long, I have vowed to try and raise as much money as i can for the organisations who have looked after her and so all the money from this piece once auctioned will be donated to the Christie's cancer hospital.

Love you Aunty Jayne x

I was also approached about three months ago by Eastenders Actor Adam Woodyatt who asked if i would be willing to donate a painting for the Believe Ball a charity event to raise money for this incredibly brave boy called Bailey Sarwa who has suffered with cancer since he was just 4 years old!

Of course i wanted to help out where i could so i have worked night and day to complete a painting in half the time that i usually would to finish it ready for the auction of the ball on the 29th of this month at the Luton Hoo hotel.

This will be auctioned alongside some other AMAZING items including donations from Gary Barlow, Elton John, and Joe Calzaghe
